Perfect charts – a search for planets in domicile

Last weekend I attended to  AstroFestival , a yearly astrological symposion held in Craiova, Romania. With this occasion I was watching the presentation of a fellow astrologer, Laszlo Fulop about ‘Energetic levels of planets’. It was an interesting discussion about planets essential dignity and how planets are ‘energized’ in various signs.

He tried to search for dates where all traditional planets where in Domicile. Doing this manually it was quite dificult and in the end he didnt find any specific date.  By coincidence – yes 🙂 coincidence – on the same weekend I’ve launched a new astrology tool ‘Planet position hunter’ which can help us with this kind of search.

So I give it a try…

I’ve searched for Sun in Leo , Mercury in Virgo , Venus in Libra (only possible combination) and Mars in Aries. No result….I’ve switched Mars from Aries to Scorpion and surprise….a couple of days where displayed.  Looking more closely I’ve found an exact date where all traditional planets where in Domicilie : Sun in Leo, Moon in Cancer, Mercury in Virgo, Venus in Libra , Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Pisces and Saturn in Aquarius.

Actually there are 2 dates: 19-20th of August 1903 as it presented on the below graphic
Planets in domicile

It is interesting to found out what happend in Aug 1903. Firstly this planetary position might can be considered in some extention a ‘perfect chart’ – if we are talking about eseential dignities.

Now let’s search in history….August 1903 is the moment of forming of Bolsheviks. Who are they?

“Bolsheviks, were a faction of the Marxist Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (RSDLP) which split apart from the Menshevik faction at the Second Party Congress in 1903 and ultimately became the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. The Bolsheviks seized power in Russia during the October Revolution phase of the Russian Revolution of 1917, and founded the Soviet Union.” Source Wikipedia

And as we well know – at least people who lived under communism – one main goal of the Communist doctrine was to create the ‘perfect society’ and the ”perfect man’. Interesting connection, dont you think?

  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thema_Mundi

In Hellenistic astrology, the root of all future astrology, there is something called the Thema Mundi, which shows the hypothetical positions of the Seven visible planets at the creation (and then again the destruction) of the world.

One can study it for a long time, extracting out wisdom, including the foundations for domiciles, aspects, joys, exaltations, sect, and much more.

This does, then, mark an even more interesting idea. Was it around this time that the world began to really, really change ?? I think so.
